Premature birth can be one of the most isolating experiences in a parent’s life. Even though prematurity is relatively common, the time you spend at your preemie’s bedside can narrow your world until it’s difficult to see you’re not alone. At Graham’s Foundation, one of our big picture goals has always been to show parents of preemies everywhere that they are not alone — and one way we do that is by giving experienced moms and dads of premature babies and kids an opportunity to hand deliver care packages to the NICUs near to their hearts.
For World Prematurity Day and Prematurity Awareness Month in November, we are once again hand delivering hundreds of special care packages to NICUs around the US so new parents of preemies feel supported, cared for, and like part of a community.
