We’re excited to be launching a hashtag campaign to give parents of preemies an opportunity to say thank you to this year’s Hope, Resilience & Miracles Awards honorees. Dr. Mia Doron, Dana Wechsler Linden, Emma Trenti Paroli (the authors of Preemies: The Essential Guide for Parents of Premature Babies and creators of the MyPreemie app), and Dr. Alan R. Spitzer (a neonatologist and prominent neonatal researcher) have done so much to improve outcomes for preemies and families, and now families like yours can say thank you to all four for their contributions by using the hashtag #champions4preemies on Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook.
We’re asking moms and dads, aunts, uncles, and grandparents of preemies to go onto social media and say thank these four amazing #champions4preemies for all they’ve done.
Maybe like preemie mom Kristine, Preemies helped you better wade through the flood of information in the NICU. She wrote, “This book was very informative for me! It was very helpful to read it while my 25 weeker was in the NICU. When I wanted to know a bit more about what the doctors and nurses were telling me, I would turn to the book to get more info.”
And while most parents will never know the positive impact Dr. Spitzer has had on their journeys, he continues to work for better outcomes for preemies and for parents through his research and as a vocal supporter of the importance of solid relationships between preemie parents and their babies’ medical support teams.
