You Don't Have to Navigate This Alone
The emotional toll of premature birth is significant. Parents of NICU infants face increased risk for postpartum depression, PTSD, and anxiety. A mentor who has been there offers empathy and a safe space to share your feelings without judgment, reducing isolation and fear. Join us on November 14 at 12 PM ET to learn about Graham's Foundation Preemie Parent Mentor Program. You will discover how we match families with trained mentors, the ways you can connect with your mentor, and how this support helps you through your unique journey. Our mentor service is completely free and available to preemie parents across the United States.
Key Topics We'll Cover
We will explain how Graham's Foundation Preemie Parent Mentor Program works and who it serves. You will learn that this service is completely free for all preemie parents in the United States, regardless of where your baby receives care or what stage of the journey you are in. We will discuss how the program started, our partnership with Parent to Parent USA, and the training mentors receive to provide quality peer support.

What Your Mentor Can Provide
Your mentor offers:

-
Emotional support during the ups and downs of your NICU journey and beyond
-
A listening ear without judgment when you need to express fear, frustration, or hope
-
Practical advice based on their own experience with feeding, sleep, medical appointments, and daily life with a preemie
-
Validation that your feelings are normal and that you are not alone in this experience
-
Encouragement to ask questions, speak up, and trust your instincts as a parent
-
Resource connections to other Graham's Foundation services and community resources
-
Hope through their story of navigating prematurity and seeing their child thrive
-
A safe space to process difficult emotions, including grief, fear, and uncertainty
Mentors do not provide medical advice, make decisions for you, or replace your baby's healthcare team. They walk alongside you as someone who understands.
